Job Requirements:

Experience:

  • Practical experience of not less than three years in the field of carpentry and familiarity with all necessary and basic tools related to carpentry.
  • Previous experience in giving carpentry trainings/courses.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Professional and accurate handling of carpentry tools.
  • The ability to write and read Arabic well.
  • Certificate of experience in the profession of carpentry, if any.
  • Very good training skills and effective communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate information in a simple and easy way.
  • Ability to solve daily problems, interpreting a variety of instructions and demonstrating good teambuilding skills.

Job Description:

Designing pre-training assessment to assess participants prior starting the training: The trainer will design a pre-training assessment questionnaire and administer it.

  • Post training evaluation – immediately at the end of the training: An evaluation to measure immediate learning retention will be conducted for participants. Participants will also be required to develop individual action plans on how they wish to apply the knowledge and skills gained.
  • Preparation of the training course based on the results of the assessment with close coordination with the center focal point.
  • Establishing and maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • seminar presentations, case studies, demonstration sessions, team building exercises and group activities.
  • Submission and acceptance of Final Training report in addition to the regular attendance sheets.
  • Close Coordination with the center focal point who will be responsible to ensure the trainer attendance on time and provide administrative support and evaluation.
  • Continuously following up on developing the skills of the beneficiaries in the field of carpentry.
  • Submit weekly reports to the center focal point including attendance sheets, recommendation and feedback.
  • Paying attention to the cleanliness of the used tools and their continuous sterilization.
  • Following up the work of the beneficiaries after the end of the course and an after-training Action Plan to help participants practice skills and knowledge.
  • Introducing carpentry tools and how to take care of them.
  • Follow occupational safety rules.
  • Classification of types of wood and areas of use in furniture.
