Job Title: Program Officer

Good computing skills (MS. Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Good training and coaching skills
Good knowledge in issues of humanitarian affairs/IHL & Humanitarian norms.
Developing professional relationships with various stakeholders including armed actors and working in a neutral and objective manner.
Perform any other duties as required by the program Coordinator/ Head of Program and GC management.
University degree in Law, legal studies, or any relevant study field.
At least 3-year experience in humanitarian field, delivery of trainings.
Help in implementation and management of project(s) (Trainer), following the work plan, budget(s), donor requirements, and internal procedures;
- Planning, Coordination & Reporting
Support development and implementation of approaches to promote civilian protection, increase respect for international humanitarian norms.
Whenever needed, Participate in the drafting of project plans, and monitoring plans.
Conduct trainings to different beneficiaries including ANSAs & CSOs as per GC policy and regulations.
Whenever needed conduct the same kind of trainings in different locations for different GC programs.
In collaboration with MEAL officer, report regularly on project activities at the field level.
Assist in project implementation: help in the setting up and coordination of meetings/meeting minutes and training sessions in the framework of the project, and ensure the work is performed according to plan, budget and timeline.
- Communications & External relations
Facilitate and arrange meetings with relevant stakeholders and senior management.
Act as a liaison person with different stakeholders at the field level including with ANSA’s, CSOs and NES local authorities.
Support implementation of communications strategy including activities, campaigns, events and other initiatives.
Attend all relevant conferences, seminars and other fora of interest to the organization, whenever required to.
Support NES GC team in monitoring the security situation on the provincial level and advise on any required mitigation measures.

Under the supervision of NE program coordinator (Raqqa), the Project Officer contributes to the operations of Geneva Call in NES- Deir Azzor/Raqqa by supporting in implementation of project(s) according to the programme plans, internal procedures, and guidelines as well as donor requirements and security constraints.
