  • Ensure project activities are implemented in accordance with the project guidelines and targets (Community mobilization, identifying beneficiaries & income generation opportunities, provide training sessions when needed in collaboration with partners) by providing project management support.
  • Ensure the implementation of the livelihoods component of the NES programme against annual work- plan, targets, time-plans and result indicators
  • Supervise and monitor the partner’s implementation of activities to ensure that the assets created adhere to technical specifications, quality standards and programme objectives.
  • Closely follow up on the partners work plan to ensure activities are being implemented as per the agreed timelines and to advise on modifications if needed.
  • Provide data base management checks for livelihoods projects and enrolled participants provided by the partners
  • Support the project coordinator, the Area manager and technical advisor in developing context specific implementation and operational manuals and guidelines for implementation in collaboration with the partners.
  • Support to Livelihoods projects’ portfolio expansion, and identify opportunities for developing profiles in livelihoods and recommend actions to make use of these opportunities
  • Conduct field visits as needed in the areas of implementation in coordination with Area Manager and Livelihoods Technical Advisor (TA)
  • Perform other related duties as required and deemed necessary by the direct supervisor. Reporting, Guidance and Coordination:
  • Document and disseminate best practices, lessons learned and challenges faced in activities in consultation with partners.
  • Report on progress of work through submission of regular field reports to the project coordinator, area manager and Livelihoods technical advisor.
  • Regularly attend the Food Security, and Livelihoods working groups and relevant meetings with key stakeholders and cooperating partners, to stay up to date with trends and developments and ensure no duplication of activities
  • Support the quality control means provided by the line manager and the Livelihoods technical advisor, and ensure reporting about capacity gaps

    Gather and report marketplace information in coordination with partner and potentially other actors in the area that are relevant to the project activities

 

Setting participatory action plans, risk analysis and long term milestones for the livelihoods project activities with the partners

 

Share feedback of beneficiaries and partners in terms of Livelihood needs , Skills & suggestions for services with Private Sector Engagement in terms of employment and economic development

  1. Required Professional Experience

 

At least four (4) years of progressive experience in livelihoods (food systems, agriculture, livestock. Etc.) and/or development programming, project management, data management, technical and vocational education and training, and private sector development, start-up, and other innovative initiatives supporting job.

 

 

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

 

  • Experience in agriculture, livelihoods, cash, development, SMEs and similar project implementation

    • Experience in post-conflict and early recovery contexts within NES
    • Good understanding of resilience and livelihood concepts and issues.
    • Experience working with NGOs (ideally in emergency and development context),
    • Experience in project coordination and/or communication with a multitude of stakeholders (preferable NES key stakeholders)
    • Able to interpret and analyse a variety of data and resolve discrepancies independently,
    • Ability to coordinate and facilitate communication with teams including ability to contribute to the effective implementation of programmes and policy discussions, with accountability and maintain confidentiality
    • Creative with coming up with new ideas & solutions
    • Knowledge of training methodologies
    • Knowledge of learning management systems, and competency-based assessment
    • Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible world view, emotional maturity and physical stamina
    • Very good experience utilizing computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, Dedicated and reliable professional,
    • Detail and results oriented with a positive work attitude, Ability to work under pressure

  1. Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in the fields of agriculture, environmental studies, development studies, agri-business, or any other related field

    Strong technical and coordination skills

    • Familiarity with the culture of the affected population, ability to communicate respectfully and effectively.

 

  1. Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

 

60% internal travel

40% office

 

  1. Physical Requirements

 

The position required presence in the field with high efforts of commitments.

 

  1. Language Requirements

 

Excellent knowledge of Arabic and English Kurdish is an asset
