Developing and updating training materials, and ensuring compliance with ERD standards. You’ll support community engagement, enhance integration within departments, and coordinate logistics for training sessions. Regular communication with the line manager and technical visits to partner centers are essential. Additionally, you’ll review partner activity reports and maintain thorough documentation of all training activities.
Condcut training need assessment for ERD partner staff to identify capacity \ trainings needs and gaps.
Communicate regularly with the line manager any identified gaps in capacity and training
Conduct a technical visit to the partner's centers.
Ensure that all ERD partners meet the ERDMinimum Standards
Develop a training plan in close with ERD manager and ERD Coordinator.
Support community engagement.
Support in developing the program tools with partner.
Enhance the integration modality within the ERD and other departments.
Develop and adapt training materials (handouts, presentations, etc.) and tools to monitor the effectiveness of training, including pre and post-tests; Work on updating training material, modules and tools, develop facilitation guides, etc as requested
Ensure all training and capacity building activities are carried out in accordance with IRC policies and procedures.
Coordinate and organizing logistics for training.
Support the development and implementation of partner plans and activities.
Provide technical review of reports related to partner activities on a regular basis.
Attend and led the regular meeting with the partners.
Conduct regular coaching and mentoring sessions with local partner staff to provide technical input and expertise.
Ensure proper documentation of all training and capacity-building session, keep track of the attendance sheets, and prepare reports as required
Other duties as assigned by the ERD Managers to enable and develop IRC programs.
All IRC staff are required to adhere to The IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies
Staff Performance Management, Learning & Development
Hire, supervise, and build the capacity of team members in relevant technical and management competencies.
Develop and implement remote management capacity building approaches to build the strengths the teams in Syria.
Coach, train, supervise and mentor direct-report staff, including communicating clear expectations, setting annual performance objectives, providing regular and timely positive and constructive performance feedback, and providing documented semi-annual performance reviews.
Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
Approve and manage time, attendance and leave requests to ensure adequate departmental coverage; ensure monthly, accurate timesheet submission and carry out probationary reviews.
Hold high-quality meetings with each direct report on a regular and predictable basis, minimally on a monthly basis.
Provide a measurable development plan including on-the-job learning with the aim of strengthening technical capacity, exchanging knowledge within the team and providing guidance on career paths.
As required, identify staff performance issues and work with Human Resources to document and address these in accordance with the National Staff Employment Policies.
Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
Promote and monitor staff care and well-being. Model healthy work-life balance practices. Support appropriate interventions in response to identified staff care needs of both national and international staff.
Look for opportunities to support staff in their career growth, where appropriate. As part of succession plan and nationalization goals, identify, train and develop capability and capacity of national staff to successfully transition role and responsibilities, by the end of assignment.
Approximately 2-4 years of progressively responsible professional experience of Bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g. social work, sociology, psychology)
Previous experience in an emergency or conflict-afflicted setting is required.
Good knowledge of ERD minimum standards for humanitarian action
Excellent interactive training and facilitation skills that focus on using technology based learning approach.
Good communication skills including ability to gain trust and establish relationships with new communities
Demonstrated understanding of working with vulnerable groups in humanitarian setting
Previous experience in capacity building and mentoring of partenr staff preferred
Personal qualities: Great teammate, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well
computer skills including Microsoft Word Experience in regular report writing.
