ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in social sciences, psychology, law, or a relevant field.
Program Management:
Develop and implement peace-building programs tailored to the local context and needs.
Conduct conflict analyses to identify key drivers of conflict and potential peace-building opportunities.
Facilitate dialogue and mediation processes between conflicting groups and/or communities.
Integrate gender, diversity, and inclusion considerations into peace-building initiatives.
Capacity Building:
Train local leaders, community committees, and stakeholders in conflict resolution
techniques and peace-building practices.
Strengthen the capacity of local institutions to manage conflicts and promote peace
through education and awareness campaigns.
Community Engagement
Engage with local communities to understand their needs and perspectives in relation to peace and conflict.
Promote the active participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups in peacebuilding initiatives.
Research & Analysis
Conduct research on peace-building trends, challenges, and opportunities in the region.
Stay informed about the best practices and innovative approaches to conflict resolution and apply them where relevant.
Advocacy & Networking
Work with key stakeholders to promote peace-building efforts at local, national, and international levels.
Represent the organization in peace-building forums, conferences, and policy dialogues.
Build strong partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and international organizations to enhance collaborative efforts.
Previous experience in project support or project management.
Experience in managing peace-building interventions.
Proficiency in project management tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with donor regulations, reporting, and compliance.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in peace-buildin
