General Description:
The reporting officer will be responsible for the revision, preparation, and timely submission of high quality reports to partners. He/she will also contribute to concept note development and support the
implementation of projects.
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting and Documentation (60%)
Develop and maintain a master reporting schedule for all projects, ensuring project leads adhere to deadlines.
Review and enhance the quality of all reports before submission to the Country Program Manager/Area Manager or relevant partner.
Collect and compile data from relevant departments to prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Collaborate with M&E and Media units to produce external-facing media documents,
including newsletters, brochures, media reports, and case studies.
Attend coordination meetings, prepare, and share meeting minutes.
Work closely with the MEAL unit to ensure lessons learned are well documented and
stored.
Programme Quality and Compliance (10%)
Support the Project Managers in the following tasks:
Ensure all projects have management tools in place, such as procurement plans, detailed implementation plans, recruitment plans, and MEAL plans.
Ensure project leaders are informed of donor/partner-specific rules and procedures.
Ensure compliance with donor/partner requirements throughout project implementation.
Attend BVA and ITT meetings with the Country Program Manager, project leads, and relevant department representatives, drafting action and follow-up plans.
Coordinating with project leads to ensure all projects having a kickoff meeting before implementation, documenting and sharing agreed-upon action plans.
Work with project leaders and the MEAL department to ensure proper project closure processes, including lesson-learned workshops.
Contribution to Business Development (10%)
Assist program teams in preparing concept notes and proposals.
Project Management (20%)
As requested by the Country Program Manager, manage and implement small projects and interventions in NES, in coordination with Field Coordinator.
Conduct field visits to project sites as necessary.
Execute relevant tasks assigned by the line manager.
Academic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Business Administration, Education, or any relevant field.
At least three (3) years of professional work experience in project management or reporting.
Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with NGOs.
Fluency in English, and Arabic (both written and spoken).
Required Skills & Abilities:
English proficiency is highly essential for this position; strong written and verbal communication skills in English are a must.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to determine priorities, and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and team-building abilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex data for reporting purposes.
